Is it any surprise that I am having issues with my Legacy family!?!
First: Bon Bon is broken, rather her inventory is broken. There are things in there that have no business being in there and I can not remove them!
Second: I can not get Lox and Megan to marry. I can not even add her to the house using Master Controller/Story Progression whichever one it is!
Third: I have to change the house. There are just too many people for that damn circular stairwell! It’s looks like the 405 during rush hour when it’s bedtime!
As of right now I am trying to remake the family and start an new save file. It’s so much work! I saved the house to my library, saved all the sims to the library. Now I need to recreated the family, which I can only do with eight sims. I have 11 (pretty sure) in the house right now. My plan is to make the family the family: Miller, Fritty, Steak, Mango, Peach, Lox, Megan, Bon Bon. Once I have them in the house I will kill Miller (because Fritty is still in mourning). Marry Lox and Megan. Then make babies with Mango and Peach and edit said babies with MC and CAS until I have Kix, Kool Aid, Wasabi, Lettuce and Jimica back. Then I have to put the other secret someone out in the town, but that part is easy. THEN I need to put in some simselves.
If there is an easier way to do this or if anyone can help me with my problems PLEASE leave a comment! I will be checking my email frequently because I really want to make this work.
Also, if you want to see your simself in my town please leave a comment with a link. I have to download all new simselves as my hubs reformatted my computer and I have lost all CC and simselves I had.

Hmmm… come to think of it, I actually had an issue with a sim marrying a female…. a while ago? too. My sims can marry males just fine so it may just be some weird glitch. Of course, you shouldn’t have any trouble adding her with MC though… so yeah, I ain’t got a clue what’s up with your game. Did you try the “testingcheatsenabled” cheat and shift-clicking Megan? Because Twallan’s SP doesn’t turn that on by default anymore. It you did try that, then maybe SP is being finicky and you need to set it to allow more than eight sims in MC and SP’s Town Options. I have weird problems with my game all the time. I need to buy a new computer that’s up to date and has all the goodies.
I hope you can get a new computer some day soon.
My husband built mine for me. If you are able to do that it will be much cheaper for you. Then you only have to upgrade pieces instead of a whole system.
Twallan has a mod that will let you create more than 8 in CAS. But if you are just interested in overstuffing the house, his mover mod should help some. I don’t know why you can’t add the sim via MC. The only thing I can think of to check is the maximum number of humans in the settings of MC.
Thank you for your comment! It was user error. I forgot to enable more than eight sims in MC. I still could not get them married correctly. I had to move her in then wed them. I also fixed Bon Bon’s inventory thanks to MC!
I was so happy that I went and installed University. So, we will see what happens next, so far so good though!
Glad to hear you fixed most of the issues! I had an issue with an inventory item that said “invalid” and it wouldn’t let me delete it or place it. The picture looked like a white cube. I eventually deleted it but it was really weird. I’m excited to get the Sims 3 University! Be sure to tell us how it is!
I was able to use MC to sell the stuff that was stuck in her inventory. But I couldn’t sell it when I tried dragging them to the sell box. I had visions of those couches tables and chairs being stuck in the legacy forever!
I am planning to send Gaylord and Peter Testy to University as soon as the Seasons Tests are done. But I want to get a Food update out first!
I’m always having similar problems like that, and usually they are easily fixed by most of the above commenters have already stated. I don’t blame you for doing a new save file. I’m about to do that with both my current legacies because they are about to drive me up the wall with problems too.

Playing the same file for too long makes for a very glitchy game. At least for me. Maybe next time ill be smart and make a new file every three generations.
Put Elyon & Jag in the new town! They’re spares, so idk if you end up marrying them in and changing their names. 😉
